Never Better Collective
Never Better Collective makes small-batch apparel for bars, bands, and businesses across Portland and beyond. Woman-owned, Portland-made, and running two separate websites that didn't talk to each other. The Shopify store handled product, the Squarespace site handled everything else, and the brand felt split in half.
If you're in apparel, you're competing with every print-on-demand site on the internet plus a thousand other small brands. Running on two platforms made it worse. Customers landed on the Squarespace, bounced when they wanted to buy, and sometimes never made it to the Shopify at all. Custom production leads, the actually-profitable side of the business, got buried.
I built one site, headless Shopify on the front. Product, brand story, and custom production all live under the same roof now. The latest drop sits next to the lookbook sits next to the contact form. SEO has come along for the ride: local searches that used to land on the wrong page now land on the right one, and inquiries for custom work come in steady.
